double eagle

by the time i got there
it was raining pretty good
the lone eagle had company
so it was difficult to hand hold
and shoot up into the downpour
but like the dorsal fins
of orcas on the ocean dancefloor
it's always a thrill
to see these majestic birds
on their treetop thrones
