i happened to capture
a male salmon in the act
of fertilizing the salmon eggs
that had been laid in a calm pool
beside the fast flowing stream
and this fulfills the purpose
of this particular chum salmon
and finishes his life cycle
and starts a new one
for the next generation
soon this guy will become food
for the gulls and the eagles
and the bears
