the icebreaker 'polar prince'
dwarfing every other vessel
moored here in ganges harbour
originally the sir humphrey gilbert
named for an early explorer
of the northwest passage
and now owned privately
the icebreaker is 240 ft long
and is on a 150 day voyage
beginning in toronto ontario
then up the st lawrence seaway
around newfoundland and labrador
through the northwest passage
with 75 stops along the way
including many stops
in aboriginal communities
