1938 gmc truck
outstanding in its field
more or less a planter now
but the irises and tulips
that bruce said were in bloom
in the back of this relic
became salad for the deer
before i arrived
but it is one fine rustbucket
with fabulous patina
"always remember
the last words of my grandfather
who said "a truck!"
