the moon caught my eye
as i turned for home tonight
i could have made it orange
in editing if i wanted
in this pumpkin season
but i liked it fine as it was
"the orange moon is a risin'
on the horizon
of the outskirts of my mind
i sat and listened
as it glistened
it said 'leave the past behind'"
