and a 1947 model at that
i am drawn to roadside wrecks
like this 1947 dodge pickup
abandoned many decades ago
in the woods of a property
recently cleared to make way
for a couple of used houses

wonderful beautiful wrecks
that's what connects us
that we're all broken
all beautifully imperfect"
