breathless
after recent blustery breezes
stripped the trees of leaves
all around blackburn lake
there is also beauty
in the stark skeletons
that remain when the leaves fall
and it's days like today
when the air holds its breath
that are made for reflection
"they only babble
who practise not reflection"
