the end of another road trip
begins this morning
after a playdate sleepover
at my friend jill's house
where i find nurse 'florence'
with her toilet tissue cap
and her 18th century glasses
in the guest bathroom
it was a brief but vital visit
but now i must go home
to begin the next phase of me
in a brand new school year
