although i was still under the spell of 'the life of pi' today i became a fan of 'lincoln' in the oscar sweepstakes when i had occasion to deliver a rather lavish thank you gift bag from director steven spielberg to local set designer jim erickson who has been nominated for an academy award for his work on this film (which i have yet to see)
