the arrival this afternoon of a
shiny new electric school bus
was cause for much excitement
in our sd64 transportation team
this bus was built in canada by
the lion electric company
in saint-jerome quebec
and is applicable to service
here on salt spring island
with zero emissions and a range
of up to 250 km per charge
carrying up to 72 students
i believe the storage batteries
cost more than the bus itself
