the apple festival
has come and gone
but this morning
during a soil delivery
with the dumptruck
i spied this handsome apple
that appeared to be
wearing an autumnal cap
and after i took its portrait
i could not leaf it alone
and when no one was looking
i plucked that apple
oh my it was so delicious
