the sun played hide and seek
early on this january morning
and by mid morning it was gone
erased by the rain bearing clouds
that are here for the long haul
so i thought i'd ramp it up
and capture some sunlit colour
before the grim gray gloom
of another west coast winter
casts it's dreary spell again
