ferry terminal rendezvous
at the town of crofton
in order to check out a camera
did not result in a purchase
but it did result in a noofoto
as i looked down at the ocean
from the long loading wharf
to see this slimy swirling soup
up against the shore
and a lot of soup it was
as a wider shot would show
yet despite the unease i felt
i couldn't help seeing beauty
in this pastiche of pollution
