this arbutus in vesuvius village
reminds me again
why i consider the arbutus
the aardvark of trees
and this particular capture of it
does seem a bit animalistic
with it's necks and faces
and snouts and eyes
the aardvark is unusual
if not unique
and so is the arbutus
which is the only native
broadleaf evergreen tree
in all of canada
