a morning swim
in lieu of an ocean boat ride
on elsa and ray's boat
turns into an excellent plunge
(many excellent plunges)
into my favourite lake
here on saltspring island
from this wonderful dock
there's the youngest tao
in mid dive as his sister
ayanaquinn waits her turn
and kaius watches as mom tusa
stakes her claim on the dock
