the wave
i took half a busload of students
from the local middle school
down to fulford to meet the ferry
that was carrying students
from fraserwood school in surrey
who have come a long way today
to hang out at ruckle park
with their saltspring pen pals
all of this because their teacher
in surrey is a saltspringer
who insisted that they take a dip
at the cusheon lake dock
before heading back to surrey
yay!!
