this naked tree
intrigues me
it's not an arbutus
its bark has peeled
but instead of the gold
of the arbutus
here we see a dun skin
beige grey and sinewy
someone will tell me
this tree's name
and it won't take long

ahhhhh of course
it's eucalyptus
a most interesting tree
