to east along the
going-to-the-sun road
you first drive beside
placid lake mcdonald
and i took a moment
to remember my friend
cynthia macdonald
i miss her so much
on days like this
and yes there is a hint
of survivor guilt
but hey
i must move it along
and continue to
appreciate this
great big
beautiful world
