while i walked my camera
on island view beach
i happened upon this
fine driftwood shelter
and was sweetly asked
to take a birthday photo
of these two ladies
i think it was the one
wearing the sunglasses
who chose this place
to celebrate the big day
it was chilly in the wind
and me in my shorts
and short sleeves
but they were cozy enough
in their driftwood cocoon
